Ancestor Dna Test
Whats the best Ancestors DNA TEST?
were should i buy from
Ah! A typical lady! 5 egos!
Hey, just funning you!
I used www.familytreedna.com. They also do the DNA testing for the National Geographics Genotype Program, which traces human migration patterns worldwide.
They have tutorials you can view to see what is available in DNA testing, what you can expect from the results. There is yDNA which traces son to father to father to father, all the way back. Then there is mtDNA which traces child (daughter or son) to mother to mother to mother, all the way back. Then there is the Autosomal DNA which works for both male or female and indicates cousins. In my case, it has worked out cousins from more than 10 generations ago, but none closer. Males can be tested for all 3; females cannot be tested for the yDNA, but should have either their father or a brother tested. An uncle would do little good…but some.
Family Tree also provides you with your own webpage, including matches with others from the various countries, Jewish ancestry, etc. and a worldmap showing where the matches are from. Mine backs up my paper trail, but goes much further, making a believer out of me.
